Promoting the “Sons of God sin not” Study Guide

This study guide reveals aspects of the truth that will empower believers to stop sinning by mortifying the works of the flesh with the help of the Holy Spirit.  The lack of knowledge concerning certain truths is the reason for the “weak” state of the believers.

Believers know little or nothing of aspects like:

                The effect knowledge of “good & evil” has on the spirit of man;

                What the law of sin is;

                What a sinner is;

                Where the soul, and where the spirit, of man is;

                What the “other law” is which is spoken about in Romans 7:23;

                What happens to the body of man when he is born again;

                Where the Holy Spirit dwells in man;

                What the way and pattern of salvation is.

They answered him,

We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

Jesus answered them,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. (Joh 8:33&34)

 The work of Jesus was, and is, a reality:

  • The work of Jesus can be experienced by:

                Being born again:  Deliverance from the power of Satan;

                Reconciliation with God: When we receive the Holy Spirit;

                Sanctification:  When current sins are mortified with the help of the Holy Spirit;

Revelation of Scriptures:  When the truth finally penetrates our mind and spirit;

                Eternal life:  Resurrection in the body of Christ at His second coming.

  • Believers must have faith to say what God says:

                The congregation must come to believe and confess the truth;

                Because of unbelief they cannot confess.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him:

and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.  (1 Joh 3:9)

  • The lie must be rejected (See page 86 of the study guide):

According to the lie Jesus died for our sins but did not accomplish a deliverance that can be experienced;

According to the lie we have to believe in Jesus, appropriate forgiveness, be thankful and live a “better” life;

BUT this is Old Testament faith.  That is why most believers say, “We are only sinners.”  The TRUTH, however, is that we are saints.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus,

who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: (1 Cor 1:30)

Other hindrances that stifle spiritual growth of the believer:

  • Ignorance concerning the working of the Holy Spirit:

                The believer must co-operate with the Holy Spirit in order to accomplish sanctification;

                Not understanding HOW the Spirit works hinders the sanctification process of the inner-man;

                The “fight of faith” must be fought by the believer himself;

                The believer’s spirit, and soul, and body must be sanctified completely before he or she will stop sinning.

I am the vine, ye are the branches:

He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:

for without me ye can do nothing. (Joh 15:5)

  • Human rights, democracy and social media are Satan’s countermeasures for God’s rule:

                Believers are bombarded with worldly slogans;

               They “live” their lives based on worldly wisdom instead of God’s wisdom;

                 The wisdom of the world does not produce godliness.

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.  (Jam 3:15&16)

  • Knowledge of “good & evil” is the reason believers continue to sin:

The fall of man is mainly contributed to disobedience to God, but the underlying fact that is being ignored is that man received KNOWLEDGE OF “GOOD & EVIL”.  Just look at the world and see what this knowledge causes.  If believers want to perfect holiness they will have to learn not to think according to good and evil.  The effect that knowledge of “good & evil” has on the spirit of man is that man does both good and evil, while God only does good. (See page 109 of the study guide.)

  • This study guide is expedient for preachers of the Word:

                It reveals the “work of faith” that must be done if sanctification is to be accomplished;

                Cleansing of the spirit through the Holy Spirit is the salvation of the inner-man;

                The youth must be taught so they may understand the power of the gospel in the one who believes;

                Knowledge of truth:  Saves marriages, prevents division and dissension, stops quarrels and evil works;

                This study guide may be used in evangelism and to teach new and old converts in the mission field;

The congregation can understand and share the Gospel by means of the diagrams in the study guide;

                They can then admonish and teach each other because they know the truth;

                Members are too busy with different activities instead of changing in order to stop sinning.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God,

unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:  (Eph 4:11-13)

In conclusion:

The message of God as set out in this study guide is the final message to the Church before Jesus’ second coming.  Just as John the Baptist called the nation of Israel to repent and be baptized, so now also the message comes to the Church.  Be not rebellious, but allow the Holy Spirit to baptize you to eternal life.

The Lord blesses you and gives you insight.

 Friendly greetings
