SATAN'S THEORY

Did you know that God gave Satan only one chance to preach a sermon?
It is of the utmost importance that you take note of what Satan's theory is about man.
We find his impression of man in Job chapters 1 and 2.
Text: Job 2:4 “And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.”
A skin is a HIDE. In ancient times the skin of animals was a very precious possession. From hide products like shoes, clothes, blankets and many other things were made. It was as good as money because it could be exchanged for everything a person wanted to buy. It provided for all a person’s material needs such as food, clothing and housing. He could LIVE thereby.
However, man also has another very precious possession, namely his SOUL.
LUK 12:19-21 “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul (life) shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Yes, man can also sell his SOUL as long as he can LIVE.
Now Satan makes a statement: Man will give ALL that he has (his possessions and his soul) as long as he may LIVE.
Examples:
The robber pushes a gun against your head and says: "Your money or your life! ...and you give him your money. This is how you buy your life (save your skin) with your BELONGINGS.
You testify in court and you are under oath: A lie can get you free. The truth however, will cost you five years imprisonment. You choose to lie. This is how you buy your life (save your skin) with your SOUL.
Yes, Satan speaks the "truth" when he says someone will give EVERYTHING, as long as he can LIVE.
This "truth" however leads to death. (Eternal damnation).
Christians sell their soul/life for a lentil on a daily basis — for things with little or no value, to live and to silence temporary needs. So for example, believers frequently give in to group pressure to live.
The life of which Satan speaks; this life which we hold so dear; this life that we want to keep at all cost, is the life, that ends in death.
Oh, if we could understand that we should hate and not love this life.
Joh 12:25 “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto LIFE ETERNAL.”
We lie because we think the five years out of jail, is life. Jesus says, however, that we should not lie. It is better to go to jail and so be worthy of true life (eternal life). We steal because we love this life more than eternal life. Jesus says that we should not steal. Rather suffer and thus preserves TRUE LIFE.
Jas 4:4 “…… whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
HOW DO WE OVERCOME?
Rev 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death (they do not sin).”
Satan has a theory: He says you will give all you have for your life. What do you say?
